Who is Luke?
My athletic journey started young with long-distance running, where I quickly became motivated by the thrill of going farther and faster each year. After more than a decade of long-distance running, I was ready for a new challenge and found it in dragon boat at McMaster University. The team environment and sense of community were incredibly rewarding, and I eventually took on leadership roles as dryland coach and co-president of the club. Following my years in dragon boat, I began rock climbing indoors and outdoors, tackling bouldering and lead routes, which taught me problem-solving, patience, and how to trust my body in new ways. These experiences shaped not only my approach to sport but also my fascination with human movement and performance, guiding me toward a career in physiotherapy
My fascination with human movement naturally led me to pursue my Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. I had the opportunity to work with diverse populations, including athletes, post-operative patients, individuals recovering from stroke, people living with chronic pain, and others. These experiences showed me how impactful tailored, patient-centred care can be and strengthened my desire to help people improve their function and quality of life. They also allowed me to develop my skills and confidence as a clinician, preparing me to provide thoughtful, effective care to each person I work with.
As a physiotherapist, I believe in meeting people where they are and helping them get to where they want to be. I enjoy problem-solving injuries and helping people understand their bodies in a way that feels clear and empowering. Using a mix of manual therapy, targeted exercise programming, and practical education, I aim to build strategies that make sense for your lifestyle and support real, lasting progress. Whether you’re returning to a sport, recovering from a setback, or simply looking to move with more confidence, my goal is to help you get there at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we’ll work toward getting you back to what you love and building habits that support your long-term wellbeing. I look forward to supporting you on that journey!
In my free time, you can usually find me staying active with strength training, sending rock climbing projects, or competing in local gaming competitions.
