The beginning
Growing up, I wasn’t very active. Watching other kids run around on the playground or play sports made me jealous because they seemed so connected to their bodies in ways I wasn’t. I didn’t have that mind-muscle awareness, and honestly, I didn’t see much value in being active since physical health was never a priority in my family. That changed when I entered high school.
Around the same time, I watched my grandma’s health decline; she was losing muscle mass and struggling with tasks that once came easily to her. It made me think seriously about my own future and the kind of life I wanted to live. I didn’t want to grow older feeling dependent on others for basic care. So, I started small, doing simple workouts at home as a preventative step. It wasn’t much, but everyone starts somewhere right! As I grew stronger, I joined track and field and was amazed at how quickly my cardiovascular health improved. I even tried a few dance classes; my coordination still needs some work, but it helped me appreciate the importance of staying active. These experiences sparked my interest in healthcare and human physiology. I became fascinated by how incredible, complex, and adaptable the human body is. That’s when I knew I wanted a career in health care.

The journey
Because of my interest in human physiology and movement, I pursued a degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. After graduating, I began working as a Physiotherapy Assistant in a chiropractic clinic. I loved teaching patients their exercises and seeing their progress firsthand. That experience made me realize that I wanted to become a Chiropractor myself. I also spoke with my family members who had received chiropractic care, and they all shared positive experiences, which reinforced my decision. Eventually, I achieved that goal when I graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.

The goal
My goal is to empower individuals to stay active, independent, and confident in their bodies by providing evidence-based, patient-centered chiropractic care. Inspired by my own journey from inactivity to discovering the value of movement and strengthened through my education in Kinesiology and my clinical experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant, I aim to help people understand their bodies, build strength, and prevent future limitations. As a Chiropractor, I am committed to promoting long-term health, improving functional movement, and supporting patients in achieving a better quality of life.
