As an Athletic Therapist, Vesna began to reprogram her approach to movement and rehabilitation. She moved away from the idea of pushing through pain and ignoring the body in pursuit of performance. Instead, she embraced a more mindful philosophy - one where pain is not something to silence or erase, but a meaningful signal inviting change. She came to understand that the body is inherently strong, adaptable, and intelligent.
This shift transformed rehabilitation into something far greater than recovery. For Vesna, it became a practice of prevention, resilience, awareness, and personal growth. Through this lens, she healed, explored new sports, discovered a passion for Olympic Weightlifting, and went on to coach athletes at the provincial competition level.
