Bulgarian Split Squat Calf Raise

BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUAT CALF RAISE

The Bulgarian split squat calf raise is a lower leg and quadriceps strengthening exercise that is used to challenge ankle stability. This may completed with or without weights such as dumbbells or kettlebells. Start going into a BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUAT stance and proceed to raise the front leg’s heel off of the floor as high as tolerable to complete a calf raise. Hold the top position for up to 2 seconds and slowly lower the heel back to the floor to complete a repetition.
