Segmental Thoracic Flexion

SEGMENTAL THORACIC FLEXION

This is a thoracic spine motor control exercise that is used to promote segmental flexion. This exercise may be completed either seated or standing. Start by flexing the neck by bringing the chin towards your chest. From here, slump the shoulders forwards and flex the upper back. Practice bending forwards incrementally at in the thoracic spine.
