OVERHEAD SHRUG NECK ROTATION

This is an upper trapezius rehab exercise that will also uncouple motion at the cervical spine from the scapulothoracic joint. Raise both arms with your elbows straight overhead and shrug your shoulders. Slowly rotate your head and neck completely to one side without dropping the shoulders and then rotate completely to the opposite side. Return to neutral cervical spine rotation and slowly drop the shoulders. Repeat as needed.
