PNF Cervical Lateral Flexion

PNF CERVICAL LATERAL FLEXION

This is a Proprioception Neuromuscular Facilitation exercise for the lateral flexors of the neck. Start by placing your hand on the side of your head and push into your head while resisting with your neck muscles. Continue to apply pressure as your bend your neck in the direction that you are pushing, all the while resisted the pressure that you are applying. Once at maximal tolerable end range, return to the neutral position while still resisting the applied pressure.

  • Scalenes

  • Sternocleidomastoid

  • Longus Colli

  • Splenius Cervicis

  • Levator Scapulae

  • Upper Trapezius
